Who is Jabari pelle?
Jabari’s Story
Jabari Pelle was born on February 9, 1992 to Noel and Donna Pelle. Jabari grew up in both New York and Pennsylvania in a loving home filled with family and friends. Jabari graduated from East Stroudsburg High School North and spent a year at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Jabari was a lover of sports, especially basketball. At the time of his passing Jabari was a full time employee at Amazon as delivery driver. Jabari was in a celebratory mood and high spirited, celebrating moving into his new apartment and the Memorial holiday with family and friends.
On May 29, 2020 28 year old Jabari was found unresponsive at his apartment in Allentown Pennsylvania. The Coroner’s toxicology report confirmed that marijuana and the deadly drug, Fentanyl, was present in his system, and that he died from accidental fentanyl toxicity. Jabari was not known to be a substance abuser, with the exception of the use of recreational marijuana and the occasional drinking with friends. “He had so many plans, and so we all know he did not want to die.” “He would walk in a room, and people would just be lifted by his presence and by his brilliant smile,”
The circumstances surrounding Jabari’s death do not take away the fact that he was a person who was valued and loved.
Questions to where or whom this substance Fentanyl came from, are still left unanswered.
WHAT HAPPENED TO JABARI COULD HAPPEN TO ANYONE.
Even as Jabari’s death was ruled an accidental occurrence it does not bring closure as to how and by whom this illegal substance was distributed.
The BariWorld Foundation was founded as a means of honoring Jabari’s Legacy, but more importantly, to be apart-of creating awareness and halting the distribution of these deadly substances. It is our hope to spare other parents of the pain and grief that follows in its path. We as a Foundation vow to continue this fight.
Joy Not Pain.
